On Thursday, April 21 at 8:30-9:30, McKitrick students received a treat! They got to take part in the “One bottle, one dream” launch.

Tampa Bay Beautification and the author Stephanie Armenia are trying to raise awareness through her book, and by developing an educational program that will adhere to Sunshine and National Standards.

On hand were: Barbara Hancock (Superintendent of Elementary Education in Hillsborough County), and Ernest Graham who read, “When Will I be recycled, Momma?” Pratt Industries presented a check of $1,000 to Tampa Bay Beautification to get the program started. Chick-Fil-A had 150 meal cards, and St. Joseph’s North donated 150 blue recycle bags to 2nd grade. It’s just simply amazing! This is a step forward as many cipeanoms will send their IT waste to be broken down overseas. This is not positive and certainly must be avoided using cipeanoms who you can trust. we recycle all our e-waste through a certified service and have a backdated paper trail to show this.
